kute kiwis!

i got a very official letter in the mail yesterday and it contained my very first grant for my kiwi project!! i was so excited, and made even more so because the chairman of the fund was a guy who has done heaps of work on ratite evolution. which might be the reason i got the money, but i'll pretend it's because of all of my excellent grant-writing experience with sia :)

speaking of kiwis, the 1000th kiwi hatched for operation nest egg was hatched at kiwi encounter a while back - yay!
